ECHOES OF THE PAST

Symphony of the Canyons takes the stage at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center on the campus of College of the Canyons - Valencia, presenting Finlandia by Sibelius, Symphony No. 8, Movement I by Schubert and Bacchanale from Samson & Delilah by Saint Saen. Also featured on the program are the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra Chamber and Brass Ensembles. The program will also feature selections by Pipe Dream Flutes.
Complimentary tickets have been mailed to the SCVYO Foundation donors and SCVYO families with currently enrolled students. Those wishing to purchase tickets may may do so at the College of the Canyons box office on the evening of the performance ($12 adults, $6 students/seniors).
The SCVYO wishes to thank College of the Canyons Chancellor, Dr. Dianne Van Hook; and Dean of the Visual and Performing Arts Department, Dr. Carmen Dominguez; for their continued support of the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra multi-tiered musical education and performance programs.

Welcome to our Musical Family!!!! The Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra (SCVYO) Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports seven instrumental groups:
Symphony of the Canyons, Orchestra, Prelude Strings, Prelude Winds & Brass, Guitar Ensemble, Chamber Music and SCV Brass Ensemble.
Our goal is to provide young musicians exemplary musical education and performance opportunities through expert instruction in an ethnically diverse setting, thus enriching the cultural life of the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond.
